Preparing to Return to Uganda & Kenya
We are so excited to continue the training with pastors and church leaders in Busia, Uganda after the holidays! We are developing curriculum to build on the discipleship and church growth materials that we covered this past January. We will spend several days training the larger group with pastors and leaders from 70+ churches, and two days with more in-depth training for just the senior pastors. We are planning focused sessions for men and women separately and working on a follow-up session to disciple and encourage the local widows. Please pray for us as we develop the materials – that God will help us craft content that will meet their needs, equip them to lead their churches effectively, and help them grow in their own spiritual walks. We are enjoying working via Zoom with the African leaders who have become our friends as we anticipate being together again.
We have a new U.S. team member joining us for this trip, Tonya Parrott! We are looking forward to traveling and serving with her. Tonya brings a lot of ministry expertise to the team! We are especially grateful for her previous experience with East African missions and training.
After we train in Uganda, we plan to travel just over the border to Kakamega, Kenya, where we will minister to a new group of pastors and leaders. We will be partnering with a Kenyan leader we met on our July trip. Please pray for this training with Kenyan pastors & leaders too!
