Equipping Pastors with the Pauline Epistles

I would guess when you think about how hot it is in Africa you have never enjoyed the cool weather and gentle rains of Limuru, Kenya!  The elevation in Limuru is about the same as our home base in Colorado Springs!

One of the things that makes Limuru special is the Bible College there for African pastors from rural areas who have had little access to theological training.

When we arrived in Limuru at Kenyan Baptist Theological College (KBTC) we were greeted by faculty and staff who were overjoyed to receive our gift of Africa Study Bibles (a big “thank you” to our partner Christianbook International Outreach)!

The students also received Africa Study Bibles and were ready to receive seminary level training from Apollos staff Brian Burns. Brian taught a course on the Pauline epistles at KBTC to bi-vocational pastors who are working hard to balance ministry, a job, and their studies at the Bible college. Imagine receiving instruction on the words of the Apostle Paul from a skilled professor, and then being able to use that knowledge to bless the many people who rely on you for their spiritual well-being!

Please pray for these pastors as they serve the Lord in caring for their congregations. They are investing their time and resources in theological education so they can be well-equipped to lead and train the people in their churches in rural Africa. What an honor to serve them by providing training in Paul’s pastoral Epistles.
