Training Costa Rican Pastors & Leaders

High up in the mountains above San Jose, Costa Rican church leaders met to study the New Testament. Their eagerness to study the Word was profoundly encouraging. It was an honor for me to serve in Costa Rica with a team from Teaching Truth International (TTI). I taught an overview of the Gospels and several books of the New Testament through a translator.

These men and women all had a look of joy on their faces as they received their certificates of completion from this course. Please pray for them as they serve their churches in Costa Rica.

The second half of the trip was in the heart of downtown San Jose, where a local church opened the doors to about 100 pastors and church leaders to come learn more about the New Testament. Several were deeply moved and obviously wiping tears away as they received their certificates of completion.

Please pray for these leaders as they are working to combat false teachings in the area. Many of their questions involved issues surrounding un-biblical or extra-biblical theology that is damaging to the people of Central America. They were eager to develop a better understanding of the Scriptures so they can faithfully serve those in their care.

While we were in Costa Rica several pastors and associational leaders highlighted the need for training in additional cities and countries in Central America. Please pray for these churches that have limited access to Biblical theological training.
