The Apollos Training staff team attended the GPro Congress II in Panama City, joining hundreds of other pastor trainers from around the world to focus on multiplying the quantity and quality of pastor trainers. As Dr. Ramesh Richard, the host of the congress, says, “Pastoral health affects church health, and church health affects societal health.” Hundreds of thousands of pastoral leaders around the world have limited access to Biblical and theological training. We gathered for a week in Panama to collaborate to address this significant need in the Global Church. (A video recap of our first day is posted below!)
During the Congress, we saw tremendous unity among these leaders in the body of Christ. We started many new relationships that will allow us to partner with people and ministries to get more pastors the training and resources they need. We received a number of invitations to train in various parts of the world. Please pray for us as we consider where and how we can best serve.
One highlight of the trip was introducing a partner foundation to the staff of a seminary that has been praying for a library and books for their students! By the grace of God that foundation and the seminary leader are now partnering to provide invaluable Christian materials to those students and also to other pastors and leaders in an African country with limited Biblical resources! Global partnerships are a key component of advancing the Great Commission. We expect our time in Panama to continue to bear fruit, multiplying the quality and quantity of pastoral leaders.
